With the idea of combining primary and behavioral care in a single medical practice, I established Desai Medical Group & Behavioral Health in 2021. My professional experience includes working in primary care settings, County mental health, director of psychiatry for inpatient units, as well as outpatient psychiatry clinics. I have a wide experience treating patients of all ages with complex psychiatric conditions including depressive disorders, bipolar disorders, psychotic disorders, ADHD, PTSD, anxiety disorders and autism spectrum disorders

Ralph Lissaur

Dr. Lissaur is a board-certified psychiatrist with extensive experience treating a variety of patient populations for a broad range of psychiatric illnesses, including but not limited to psychotic disorders; depressive and bipolar disorders; anxiety disorders; obsessive compulsive disorders; post-traumatic stress disorder; and, personality disorders. He completed his psychiatry residency at the University of California, Irvine in 2007. Since then, Dr. Lissaur has worked for the State of California prison system, for the counties of Orange and Riverside, and in a number of other out-patient and in-patient settings. He also served as Health Sciences Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry for the University of California, Riverside, School of Medicine and as such taught and supervised psychiatric residents and medical students. Prior to starting his career in medicine, Dr. Lissaur earned graduate degrees in business and law, and worked as a tax lawyer for a number of years in New York City and in San Francisco, California. Dr. Lissaur was born in The Netherlands and Immigrated to the United States after finishing high school in Europe.

Charles D. Malinick

With over 30 years of practicing psychiatry, DR. Malinick has a rich history of working with a diverse patient population including children, adolescents, and adults. Throughout his career, he has treated a broad range of medical disorders, including but not limited to ADHD, Depressive Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Bipolar Disorders, and OCD. He graduated from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago, and then had a residency in general psychiatry through the University of Illinois Hospital and the Westside Veterans Administration Hospital at the Chicago Medical Center. He then went to the University of Pittsburgh, and completed a child and adolescent fellowship at the University’s Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic, after which he went to California, and opened up his private practice in 1988. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in both General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He joined the Desai Medical Group & Behavioral Health in 2022, where he continues to pursue his passion of practicing medicine so that he can improve his patients’ quality of life.

Working in VA hospital for 7 years in which 5 years for inpatient acute psychiatric unit. My goal is to deliver quality care and to increase quality of life. I specialize in young adult to geriatric/elderly patients for initial assessment, follow-up, sign and symptoms control, medications and behavior management. Performs assessment to rule out medical condition/s, diagnose and develop plan of care for patients with development functioning disability, ADHD, OCD, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, PTSD, schizophrenia, depressive disorders, and bipolar disorders. Provides psychological/psychoeducational support to patients/family and caregivers as necessary.

Dr. Martha Mozia is a Board Certified Child/Adolescent Psychiatry; Board Certified General Psychiatric NP, Board Certified Geriatric NP, Board Certified Family Practitioner NP, First Assist /Dermatology Nurse. Certificate in Alcohol/Drug Specialist and Fellow in Addiction Nursing. A UCI/UC Davis Train-the-Trainer’s Fellow in Pain Management 2020 Cohorts. She has a Bachelor in Nursing and Business Administration, Masters in Health Care Management, and post-bachelorette in Nursing FNP/GNP. She completed her Doctoral Studies in Obesity Medicine and post-doctoral PMHNP Fellow at the Brandman University, school of Nursing. Dr. Mozia completed post-doctoral in PMHNP from Brandman University and KySS Child-Adolescent Mental Health Fellowship Program at the Ohio State School of Nursing. Her education and training in nursing and medicine spans over several interests. These include – Family and Geriatric certificate from AANP, PMHNP-BC, MHS – RN- BC from ANCC, PHMS from PNCB, psychotherapist (Behavioral Activation for Depression) from credo-oxford university, Alcohol/Drug Specialist from CSULA,CBT-Trauma Focus, CBT- Anxiety and certified dermatology nurse from DNA. Her current focus is integration of Behavioral Health in Primary Care, BehavioralMedical Home, and Integrated, holistic Behavioral Care of Complex patients through Telepsychiatry, Telemedicine and Teledermatology. These interests allow her to practice as a true generalist and help further public and community health in general, and specifically, preventive and wellness health, chronic care model within a Medical Home Clinic Model.Research Focus: Obesity prevention, management and nutritional health.Additionally, her project addressed skin laxity after massive weight loss and the consequence of self-image disturbance.

Julius Gill has been working in healthcare since 1994 in various capacities as a nurse and nurse practitioner. He started his nursing career doing bedside care. Over the years he has worked as a nurse supervisor and educator. Mr. Gill assumed the duties of nurse practitioner in 2007. He is trained both as a Family Nurse Practitioner as well as an Adult Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. As an NP, he has treated patients in various settings, including, but not limited to, outpatient clinics, group homes, long-term care facilities and addiction centers. His goal is to help improve the quality of life of his patients through quality care. Mr. Gill brings a wealth of clinical experience to our team.
